The Lovell Foundation is proud to have been represented, new brochures in hand, at ‘Sarah’s Year in One Day’.
This innovative event occurred in Geelong on 17 April 2016 to raise awareness of Younger Onset Dementia.
The day was created by Mick, whose wife Sarah has Younger Onset Dementia at the age of thirty-eight. The day was a celebration of all of the favourite times of year such as: Australia Day, Anzac Day, Easter, Christmas and New Year’s Eve, all in one day.
This theme symbolises that living with a degenerative disease is about quality not quantity. It is about creating the opportunity to celebrate life and what is important.
The purpose of the event was to challenge the public perception that dementia is ‘just an old persons disease.’It clearly is not!Back
